Nekoř lies in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains along the Divoká Orlice River; the Nekořský potok stream also flows through the village.

Nature and Water

The dam of the Pastvinská přehrada reservoir and its surrounding area are located within the cadastral territory of the municipality of Nekoř and offer good conditions for water sports. The area of the Pastvinská přehrada reservoir in Nekoř also offers opportunities for sport fishing.

The surroundings of the balancing reservoir of the Pastvinská přehrada, known as Malá přehrada, with the Údolí holiday settlement, invite visitors to go for walks. Several hiking trails and cycling routes run through Nekoř.

The Zvonička bell tower, located in the Údolí district of the municipality of Nekoř, lies near the recreational area of the Pastvinská přehrada; one of the cycling routes passes by it, and it is said to have been built in 1775. The fire brigade sports grounds in Nekoř serve as a suitable starting point for the boat descent of the Divoká Orlice held in May.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Nicholas in Nekoř dates from 1698; its reconstructed organs can be heard during organ concerts. The Husův sbor in Nekoř was built in 1935 and is a church of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church.

The Hasičské minimuzeum fire brigade mini-museum in Nekoř displays historic fire engines from 1874 and 1909; the later one was reconstructed. Examples of timber-framed log houses have also been preserved in Nekoř.

On Vejrov, the remains of a small, unknown medieval castle have been preserved on a rocky ridge above the right bank of the Divoká Orlice near the Pastviny dam.
