Králíky presents its history at specific locations: the Králíky Municipal Museum displays objects documenting the history of the Králicko region. The permanent exhibition Mechanický betlém Antonína Honzáka is located at Velké náměstí; it operates continuously throughout the year.
Culture and History
The Králíky Military Museum presents the history of the Czechoslovak Army from its establishment to the present day. Its offerings also include a military-historical exhibition on the army and national defence, accessible year-round, with a demonstration area for heavy equipment and elements of living history.
The permanent, publicly accessible exhibition Východočeský památník celnictví on the history of customs was opened on 19 September 2018 at Velké náměstí in Králíky. The Church of the Archangel Michael in Králíky is protected as a cultural monument.
Pilgrimage
The pilgrimage Way of the Cross leads from the outskirts of Králíky through a steeply rising lime-tree avenue to Hora Matky Boží; the avenue contains eight Baroque hexagonal chapels. Above Králíky, at an altitude of 760 metres, lies the Marian pilgrimage site of Hora Matky Boží, which is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Diocese of Hradec Králové. The pilgrimage complex there was built from 1696 onwards, and the church was consecrated on 21 August 1700.
The artillery fortress Dělostřelecká tvrz Hůrka – also known as Berghöhe, Horka, Hofeberg and Výšina – was built on Výšina Hill at an elevation of 666 metres on the northern outskirts of Králíky; its entrance area is 800 metres from the well in the town centre.
Landscape
The mountains Suchý vrch, Urwista, Vysoký Kámen and Bouda lie in the vicinity of Králíky. The Nový Hrad site is also located nearby and is considered a ruin. In the wider regional surroundings of Králíky are the sites Hrad Brníčko and Trzebieszowice, which are considered castles.
The Králický Sněžník National Nature Reserve lies in the regional surroundings of Králíky, within the territories of the Pardubický and Olomoucký regions. It includes Králický Sněžník mountain and a small part of the western ridge of Malý Sněžník.
Hiking and Cycling
The regional surroundings of Králický Sněžník offer numerous hiking and cycling trails. They are suitable both for challenging tours and for outings with families and children.
