Jedousov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Knight Sekolík Eco Trail is approximately 700 metres long, runs through easy terrain and is free to access.

Culture and History

A deed of sale from 1530 mentions Jedousov in connection with the knight Zikmund Anděl of Ronovec. In 1545, Jedousov is documented in written records in connection with the fortress and the farmstead of Štěpánov. In 1706, Jedousov, together with the Štěpánov estates, came under the rule of the Thun family.

The coat of arms of the former owners of the Choltice domain, the Thun-Hohenstein family, has been preserved to this day on the main building of Horecký Dvůr. Horecký Dvůr has been opened to the public. Jedousov is also home to the Chapel of Our Lady, built in 1890. In nearby Choltice, the château houses a permanent exhibition in its interior.

Routes and Stations

The Formanská Trail continues from Jedousov and runs along both marked cycle routes and hiking trails. From Jedousov, it follows a red-marked hiking trail to the grounds of Choltice Château.

At eight special stations, visitors can learn about certified producers and their activities, as well as sample their products.

In the wider region around Jedousov, the wooden Barborka lookout tower stands southeast of Choltice on cycle route No. 4128.
