Jarošov lies on the edge of the Toulovcovy Maštale Nature Reserve. The nature reserve also includes the cadastral area of Jarošov u Litomyšle. The rock formation Cikánka is located in the predominantly pine-covered forests west of Jarošov.
Nature and Trails
The Maštalská Trail is a 30.5 km circular route through Toulovcovy Maštale, Vranice and Nová Ves u Jarošova. The Vranice–Toulovcovy Maštale–Džberka–Vranice circular hike begins and ends in Vranice; the settlement lies in the western part of Jarošov’s cadastral area.
Historical Traces
At "Západní okraj obce" in Jarošov, there is a medieval, abandoned castle site with preserved fortification remains. The ramparts of a former fortress have also been preserved on the western edge of Jarošov.
The Toulovcova rozhledna Lookout Tower
The Toulovcova rozhledna lookout tower stands on Jarošovský kopec at an elevation of 539 m between Jarošov u Litomyšle and Budislav in the Svitavy District. It is 15 metres high, has two viewing platforms and can be reached via 60 steps. In good visibility, Toulovcova rozhledna offers views of the surroundings of Pardubice and Hradec Králové, as well as the northern mountain belt along the Czech border.
