Culture and history

On a hill at the northern edge of Mikuleč, in the middle of the cemetery, stands the Church of St. George. The present late Baroque church was built in the second half of the 18th century on Gothic foundations. Inside are frescoes of Bohemian patron saints, created in 1899–1900 by students based on designs by Mikoláš Aleš. Mikuleč was founded in the 13th century. In front of the church stands the monument to the victims of the First World War, erected in 1931; it is currently maintained by the local municipal office.

Nature and activities

Mikuleč is surrounded by forests that are used for relaxing walks. Developed cycle paths in Mikuleč are used for sporting activities.

Events

At Advent markets in Mikuleč, visitors can expect traditional Christmas products and refreshments. A guided wine tasting was announced for 11 October 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the Culture and Social Centre in Mikuleč. A performance by the Dalibor Svitavy choir was planned for a Christmas concert at the Church of St. George in Mikuleč.
