Chrastavec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Chrastavec is situated in a deeply incised, picturesque valley of tourist interest between two hills. The village combines a distinctive landscape with historical traces and individual features in its appearance.

Landscape

Rohles Forest connects the two parts of Chrastavec. The Chrastavský potok stream runs along the road between Půlpecen and Chrastavec.

Culture and History

The Church of the Most Holy Trinity is a defining landmark of Chrastavec and was built in 1864. It was completely renovated at the expense of the municipality and with the active support of parish members.

The Löw-Beer Villa in Chrastavec is designated as a cultural monument. The Löw-Beer Villa in Půlpecen was built between 1911 and 1913. The history of the village also includes the fortress of Oldřich Chrastavský, which formed part of the defense of the Bohemian lands against enemy incursions. An information board marks the approximate location of the former fortress in Chrastavec.

Next to the church in Chrastavec is a memorial plaque created in 2008 for Professor MUDr. Josef Janků, who came from Chrastavec and was head of the Eye Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague.

The Hudálna in Chrastavec can be rented for weddings. It includes a covered outdoor dance floor.

Paths

A cycle path runs through the whole of Chrastavec. In the vicinity of Chrastavec, about 3 km away, a red bridle path runs from Vítějeves via Svojanov Castle toward Polička.
