Nedvězí lies in a hilly valley on the northeastern edge of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and is surrounded by the elevations of Librův kopec (722 m above sea level), Navrátilův kopec (737 m above sea level), Jírův kopec (729 m above sea level) and Kuklův kopec (698 m above sea level).

The mountain Librův Kopec is located in the immediate vicinity of Nedvězí; the mountain Kočíko is also nearby. The mountain Drašarov is also located in the surroundings of Nedvězí, while Mount Babylon lies in the wider regional area.

From Librův kopec, there are views in all directions, including as far as the border mountains, Sněžka and the transmitter on Praděd. Nedvězský rybník was probably created towards the end of the 16th century.

Culture and History

Librův grunt stands on Librův kopec, building No. 1 on the road to Bystré. The foundations of Librův grunt presumably date back to the 16th century. The building inspired Tereza Nováková to write her novel “Na Librově gruntě”, which describes the life of the local population in the last century as well as their traditional customs.

Nedvězí is home to the filial church of St. Procopius the Abbot. The church was built from June 1900 to September 1901. A walk through Nedvězí leads past dozens of folk architecture houses and corners where time seems to have stood still.

Cycling Route

The Polička–Svojanov cycling route and return reaches Nedvězí from the crossroads below Jaroška Hill via a dirt track. It is 47.5 kilometres long and suitable for mountain bikes and cross bikes.
