The cycling routes of the Maštale microregion run directly through Nová Ves u Jarošova. It is also possible to rent a tennis court in the village.

The 30.5-kilometre-long Maštalská Trail runs through Proseč, Na Borkách, Posekanec (gamekeeper’s lodge), Toulovcovy Maštale, Vranice and Nová Ves u Jarošova. It has a total elevation gain of 435 metres and reaches a maximum altitude of 556 metres above sea level.
The 22.4-kilometre-long Pivnická Trail runs through Bor u Skutče, Vranice and Nová Ves u Jarošova. This loop has a stated total elevation gain of 446 metres; its maximum altitude is 495 metres above sea level.
Landscape
The Vranice recreational area is part of the municipality of Nová Ves u Jarošova. The surrounding area also includes Jarošov, which is considered a mountain, as well as Poustecký [Makov], Škrabka and Chotovice, which are considered hills.
In the wider regional surroundings of Nová Ves u Jarošova lies the Maštale area, with sandstone rock formations and rocky valleys. In places, these cut up to 60 metres deep into the sandstone and the crystalline rocks beneath it.
History and Culture
The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk is a historic landmark of Nová Ves u Jarošova. The village is mentioned as early as 1559; at that time, the municipality belonged to the Nové Hrady estate.
