Dlouhá Loučka: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Dlouhá Loučka has a long history and combines historical traces with protected landscapes. The oldest written mention of the village dates back to 1365. Dlouhá Loučka is also the birthplace of ophthalmologist and university professor Karel Stellwag (1823–1907).

History and local culture

At Hradisko in Dlouhá Loučka, the remains of ditches and ramparts are still clearly visible. The site also contains the remains of a medieval water castle and an outer bailey, dated to the 12th to 13th centuries. Hradisko lies on a slight rise above the confluence of two streams.

One of the popular events in Dlouhá Loučka is the Hasičský ples.

Nature

The Dlouholoučské stráně nature reserve is located on the northeastern edge of Dlouhá Loučka. It protects marl slopes with extensive natural and semi-natural plant communities on extensively managed meadows and in field groves, as well as protected plant and animal species.

Phengaris arion occurs in the nature reserve. The species is critically endangered; its population is showing an increasing trend and is locally common. In addition, the Rohová National Nature Reserve extends into the cadastral area of Dlouhá Loučka.
