Stará Ves stands out for the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary: the church is registered as an immovable cultural monument, and its 60-metre-high tower dominates the landscape in the surrounding area.

Near the church stands the rectory complex, which was built in 1900. Its external appearance features historicist architectural forms with hints of early Art Nouveau. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary is also registered as an immovable cultural monument.

The protected Přestavlcký les area extends into the cadastral territory of Stará Ves u Přerova. It protects extensively mown meadows ranging from lowlands to hilly country. The Přestavlcký les is also home to Carpathian and Pannonian oak-hornbeam forests.
Routes
At Holý kopec, a scenic route runs along a dirt road and a treeless ridge for almost two kilometres. It offers far-reaching views across large parts of Moravia. A blue-marked route from Karlovice to Stará Ves passes close to a 46-metre-high transmitter tower on Holý kopec.

Traditions
A regularly held pilgrimage from Stará Ves to a spring is recorded for the first Sunday in May and the first Sunday in September.
