Plumlov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Plumlov brings its history to life at the château and in the townscape: Plumlov Château is a registered cultural monument of the Czech Republic under registration number 37405/7–5689. From the former Plumlov Castle, the present château courtyard retains a rocky hill, minor wall remnants, cellars, a vaulted castle well, and the remains of a cylindrical keep.

Culture and History

The first sightseeing tour of Plumlov Château includes the château and museum exhibition, as well as exhibitions and a guided tour with commentary through the first to third floors of the château. In addition, the Plumlov Tourist Information Centre has a permanent exhibition on the history of the castle, château, and town of Plumlov.

Circular Routes

The Okolo Obory circular route is a 5 km hiking trail with a walking time of approximately 1.5 hours. It can be started at the Žralok Auto Camping site or at the main outlet structure of Podhradský Pond, 100 metres away. The route follows a red-marked hiking trail around the pond towards the neighbouring village of Soběsuky.

The Okolo přehrady circular route can also be completed by bicycle in the opposite direction. It leads from the outlet structure of Podhradský Pond towards Mostkovice, along between the reservoir and the wooded Zlechovský vrch, then across the dam and back over the dam of Podhradský Pond.

Water Landscape

There are beaches on both shores of the Plumlov Reservoir. Watercraft can be rented at the grassy beach on the southern shore of the Plumlov Reservoir.
