Náměšť Na Hané: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Náměšť na Hané Castle was built in 1766 as an early Neoclassical building in the French style.

Culture

The statue of the Immaculate Virgin Mary in Náměšť na Hané was created in 1709 by the Olomouc Baroque sculptor David Johann Zürn the Younger. The present Church of St Kunhuta was built after the old church was demolished on 26 July 1871. Its foundation stone was blessed on 17 October 1871; in 1872, the church building and tower were constructed up to roof level, and the solemn consecration took place on 21 October 1873.

The Zlatý salonek of Náměšť na Hané Castle houses a collection of Meissen porcelain, including a large chandelier. Two archbishop's carriages stand in the service entrance. The family crypt of the Kinsky counts was built in the Empire style; three generations of the Náměšť-Kinsky family are buried in its crypt.

A park path with benches and lighting runs through the grounds of Náměšť na Hané Castle. The castle grounds can be explored along four circular routes. The castle park surrounding the castle is divided by avenues of lime trees that run approximately along all four sides and are connected by a circular path.

Nature

The Terezské údolí Nature Reserve extends between Náměšť na Hané and Laškov. It is an exceptionally valuable area in geomorphological, botanical, zoological and archaeological terms.

In the meadows and wetlands of Terezské údolí, meadow flowers bloom during the warmer months; as early as spring, the small blue flowers of Austrian squill appear there.

The Terezským údolím educational trail leads across meadows as well as field and forest paths in the valley of the Šumice River and includes sites with thermophilous plants.

Food and Drink

The Náměšťský pivovar brewery complex includes a brewery restaurant and a garden seating area. In addition to beer, it offers smoked specialities and grilled dishes.

The Pivovar Jadrníček brewery produces beer using traditional methods and recipes, exclusively from Czech ingredients. The microbrewery has a smoke-free beer tavern with Wi-Fi and 30 seats for visitors.

Getting There

Náměšť na Hané has a bus stop and a railway station; from both stops, the castle can be reached via the red-marked hiking trail in about ten minutes uphill.
