Lipina: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lipina is located in the central, hilly part of the Nízký Jeseník. Approximately 44% of the municipality of Lipina lies within the Sovinecko Nature Park, which was established to protect the character of the landscape and woodland complexes with a tree composition close to the original vegetation.

Nature

In 2018, two tourist seating areas were established in Lipina: one by a pond and one on the path to Oldřichovský kopec, from where there is a beautiful view of Haná.

The Zelená stezka nature trail runs from Šternberk via Lipina and Těšíkov to the Těšíkovská kyselka mineral spring. The connection to Těšíkovská kyselka includes the stops Lipina, rozc. and Lipina, Stachov.

Routes

The “Za živou vodou” cycle route runs from the square in Šternberk via Dolní Žleb, Horní Žleb, Dalov, Horní Loděnice, Těšíkov and Lipina back to the square in Šternberk. It is 36 km long and runs through undulating terrain with a significant difference in elevation.

The hill-climb racing course of the Ecce Homo hill climbs passes through the municipality of Lipina. The ECCE HOMO ŠTERNBERK course is 7,800 m long and has an elevation difference of 307 m.

Culture and History

The earliest documented mention of the existence of the municipality of Lipina dates back to 1296.

In the centre of Lipina stands the “Navštívení Panny Marie” Chapel, approximately 50 m from the road when driving from Šternberk, at the turn-off for the road to Těšíkov. The present-day brick chapel replaced a wooden chapel in 1838. It was completely reconstructed inside and out in 2013.

Behind Lipina, near the old Ecce Homo road, there is a statue of Jesus Christ, one of the objects listed within the municipality that have above-average aesthetic and structural values. The Ecce Homo statue was professionally restored and cleaned.
