Hrabová: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Marked cycling routes run through Hrabová, offering an attractive opportunity for short-term recreation. In the northern part of the cadastral territory of Hrabová, the Vitošov limestone quarry is a distinctive landscape element with a regional visual impact.

Culture

At the northern end of Hrabová village green stands the Chapel of St Matthew, a cultural monument of local significance. At the southern edge of Hrabová, on the road to Dubicko, stands a Neoclassical stone cross dating from 1792.

The Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren in Hrabová was built between 1923 and 1933 in the Purist style and has been a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic since 2003. It has its own observatory; stars were observed there after the building was completed.

During the Night of Churches, the tower, main hall and museum of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren in Hrabová are open to visitors. There are bus connections to the church from Zábřeh, Šumperk and Mohelnice; Lukavice railway station is 3 km from the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren in Hrabová.

History

The Hrabová Regional Museum was opened in 2011 in the basement of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren. It has a permanent exhibition on the history of Hrabová and limestone quarrying in Vitošov. Another section of the museum hosts temporary exhibitions, including handicrafts and products made by the residents of Hrabová.
