The local history book Vzpomínka na domov was blessed on 28 September 2016 in the chapel of Lukavice. The Lukavice hody celebrations are based primarily on church history and the traditions of the ancestors. The large Lukavice hody are celebrated on the feast of Saint Wenceslas, 28 September; if this day falls on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, they take place on the preceding Sunday, and if it falls on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday, on the following Sunday. The small Lukavice hody take place in July for the feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius.
