Nový Malín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Nový Malín, the monument to the 374 victims of Český Malín in Volhynia commemorates the people who were burned by fascists on July 13, 1943. The monument was unveiled on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the burning of Český Malín in Volhynia, has recently been restored, and has been supplemented on its west side with three granite plaques bearing the names of 372 victims.

Culture and History

The Baroque Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, built between 1724 and 1811, preserves a 16th-century tower. Since 1958, it has been one of the protected monuments of the Czech Republic.

In the surroundings of Nový Malín are Hrad Brníčko, a castle, and Nový Hrad, a ruin. A platform and defensive ramparts remain from the now-vanished Burgstein castle complex.
