Haňovice is located on the right edge of the Morava River floodplain below the summit of Rampach, which belongs to the Zábřežská vrchovina uplands. The Bouzovská vrchovina uplands begin on the western side of the village; the Rampach hill is situated in the immediate vicinity of Haňovice.

The immediate surroundings are also characterised by prominent elevations. The Třesín hill [Bílá Lhota-Měník] is situated in the immediate vicinity of Haňovice. Culture and history
Despite later alterations, Haňovice Chateau preserves a Renaissance portal, heraldic panels and several vaults inside. The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius is a freestanding single-nave building with a polygonal presbytery. In front of the chapel stands a stone cross with a Calvary group.
Archaeological finds provide evidence of human activity in Haňovice and the surrounding area as early as the Late Stone Age. Early medieval finds indicate that iron ore was probably processed in Haňovice in the 10th century. Haňovice has a memorial to the victims of the First World War.
