Dolní Nětčice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Dolní Nětčice Film Museum, located in the municipal office building, features an exhibition of photographic and film cameras illustrating the history of the development of photography and film. Films can be viewed on site via touchscreens, and recordings can be transferred to a large-screen projection.
Culture and History
In the centre of the village stands the Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, built in 1902; Masses are celebrated there. A statue of the Virgin Mary dates from 1909. Since July 1969, a statue of the Virgin Mary has stood in the park next to the chapel.
At the lower end of the municipality stands a memorial to those who fell in the First World War. It was erected in 1921 and renovated in 1956. Every year at the beginning of May, Dolní Nětčice commemorates the tragic events of the war in 1945.
The Kříž u Gadasovýho cross stands on the right-hand side of the road from Dolní Nětčice to Rakov and dates from 1898. The local traditions also include the Shrovetide custom of Vodění medvěda, organised in the municipality by the volunteer fire brigade SDH Dolní Nětčice.
Routes and Landscape
Cycle Route 6137 runs through the centre of Dolní Nětčice and leads from Helfštýn Castle to Bystřice pod Hostýnem. In the forest above the village, this cycle route connects to the Jantarová stezka.
The Dolnonětčický stream flows through the entire municipality. It rises below Maleník Hill and thus accompanies the landscape from its source through Dolní Nětčice.
