Bušín lies in an elongated valley along the Bušínský potok stream. The valley forms the transitional and dividing area between the Hanušovická vrchovina and the Zábřežská vrchovina.

Landscape

The highest hills around Bušín reach approximately 600 metres. The Březná Nature Park is located in the vicinity of Bušín. The rivers Březná and Moravská Sázava flow through the park, forming distinctive, deep and symmetrical valleys in the landscape.

Culture

A bust of T. G. Masaryk stands in the grounds of the former school. At the end of Bušín, a monument commemorates those who fell in both world wars. The Bušínská pouť, a traditional local cultural event, is also part of the local tradition.

Cultural and historical buildings and works of art include the Empire-style sculptural group Kalvárie, a monument protected since May 1958, made of grey coarse-grained sandstone in the first half of the 19th century, as well as the Empire-style sculptural group Nejsvětější Trojice. This is a state-protected stonework created from sandstone, featuring folk elements, dating from 1824. The Chapel of Panny Marie Bolestné is a Baroque chapel dating from 1718; its presbytery was added in 1913.

Routes and Activities

Road I/11 from Hradec Králové to Ostrava runs through Bušín. From Bušín, bus services operate towards Šumperk, Zábřeh, Štíty, Ruda nad Moravou and Janoušov; Bušín can be reached by bus. The sights mentioned in the vicinity of Bušín are located near road I/11.

The Na Kořínku natural area is used for cultural and sporting activities. The agricultural and forestry roads around Bušín are used for tourism in summer and winter. A walk is possible in the valley of the Bušínský potok stream.
