Dlouhá Ves: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Dlouhá Ves has the character of a recreational settlement. The stone cross in Dlouhá Ves bears an inscription from 1819.

Landscape

The mountains of Skalka, Cukrová Bouda, Lazek and Obora lie in the surroundings of Dlouhá Ves. Traces of alluvial gold have been found in the Ospitský potok stream in the northern part of the Zábřeh Highlands.

Culture and History

Hrad Brníčko, a castle, lies in the surroundings of Dlouhá Ves. In the wider regional area around Dlouhá Ves are the Nový Hrad ruins, as well as the churches of Kaple Panny Marie Lurdské and Kaple Panny Marie. In the immediate vicinity of Dlouhá Ves, the Church of Saint Stanislaus in Hynčina was completed in 1725.

Two years are central to the history of the village: In 1770, three settlements were established on the parceled lands of the Hynčina estate, including Grundorf, today’s Dlouhá Ves. In 1779, Křižanov, Dolní Bušínov and Dlouhá Ves were separated from Hynčina; the church was elevated to a parish church.

Cycling Route and Surroundings

A cycling route leads from Zábřeh via Nemile, Lupěné, Dolní Bušínov, Křižanov and Hynčina to Hoštejn and Hněvkov, and back to Nemile and Zábřeh. Hynčina is reached about one kilometre after the previous section of the route.

The cycling route passes through Hoštejn in the immediate vicinity of Dlouhá Ves, with castle ruins and a monument commemorating the completion of the railway line in 1845. Dolní Bušínov is also in the immediate vicinity of Dlouhá Ves, with a recreational area, a reservoir and an adventure centre.
