Rájec: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

A prominent landmark in Rájec is the sandstone column Sloup Nejsvětější Trojice. It is approximately 5.25 metres high and was erected in 1892 by Josef and Anna Chrastil from Rájec at their own expense.

Culture

The Zvonice in Rájec contains two bells. The year 1833 is engraved above the entrance to the chapel Kaple v Rájci; the first recorded mass was celebrated there on 6 June 1911. The image of Saints Peter and Paul has been preserved to this day in the Kaplička svatého Petra a Pavla.

Nature

Part of the Litovelské Pomoraví site of community importance lies in the cadastral area of Rájec u Zábřehu in the direction of Leština. The part of Litovelské Pomoraví concerning Rájec comprises floodplain forests and habitats for rare plants, insects and animals. The Studánka and the campsite at “Junáckém” are located in a small forest behind the local reservoir.

Surroundings

Hrad Brníčko Castle is located near Rájec. Skalka Mountain is in the immediate vicinity of Rájec. Cukrová Bouda and Obora mountains are located near Rájec. Lazek Mountain and the Nový Hrad ruins are located in the wider regional surroundings of Rájec.

Geographical location

The Olomouc–Zábřeh railway line runs through the cadastral area of Rájec, but there has never been a railway stop in the village.
