Water and Landscape

The Sudkovský rybník pond was created around 1480. Four islands provide a habitat for waterfowl; currently, the Sudkovský rybník is used exclusively by recreational anglers.

Cycling Connections

Cycle routes 6187 and 6114 connect to the Moravská stezka in Sudkov. At the southern edge of Sudkov, this long-distance route runs along a road originally built for agricultural purposes.

Industrial History and Architectural Heritage

The Sudkov flax spinning mill transformed the formerly agricultural village into an industrial area. This industrial chapter includes the Moravolen textile factory complex, which was the scene of clashes among workers in March 1929.

Connected with the spinning mill is Villa Emmi, also known as Sudkovský zámeček or Seidlova vila, which from the outset served as the residence of the owners of the Sudkov spinning mill.

The Protestant prayer house in Sudkov was ceremonially opened on 29 August 1937. Exhibitions are occasionally held there, sometimes accompanied by concerts and musical performances.

Other historical buildings include the Chapel of Saint Procopius, built in 1795, and Farmstead No. 1. It is an example of folk architecture dating from 1840 and features stucco decoration on the residential part.
