Dubicko: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Dubicko has a medieval core and a bell dating from 1476.

Historical Traces

Even smaller monuments tell the story of the town’s history. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Dubicko dates from 1889. The reconciliation cross illustrates how criminal law developed in the Middle Ages and continued to influence the early modern period. The cuboid wayside shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi stands on the left side of the road to Hrabová.

Events

The 12th DUBIÁDA is an afternoon of sports for children at the multi-purpose sports ground behind the Sokol clubhouse in Dubicko. The “Pochod ke sv. Josefu” is a 9.5-kilometre hiking event in Dubicko. There is also the “Dubický míčový čtyřboj dvojic” competition.

The Dubicko municipal fishing club uses the Hosena fishing grounds. The club organises fishing competitions for children and adults.

Customs and Cuisine

During the Masopust celebrations in Dubicko, there is a masquerade procession that ends with the symbolic burial of the double bass. Participants are offered slaughterhouse specialities and hot drinks.

Nature at Hosena

The artificial Hosena lake has an island planted with oak, ash and birch trees. The north-eastern shore zone of Hosena Lake is a shallow habitat for aquatic organisms.
