Rejchartice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture and History
The protected Baroque Church of St. Michael is a historic monument dating from 1770, with an older core and a cemetery area. Its Stations of the Cross consist of fourteen paintings by the painter Jindřich Kress from Rapotín. The church stands on the site of a church from 1643, at the crossroads of four historic routes connecting the surrounding villages with Rejchartice.
The historic buildings also include the Chapel of the Virgin Mary, a structure dating from 1755. The stone crosses in the municipality and the historic 19th-century tomb monuments in the cemetery bear witness to a tradition of artistic stone masonry in the Šumperk area. The Rejchartice memorial to the victims of the First World War underwent extensive restoration from April to August 2024.
Art and Traditions
Since 2013, Rejchartice has hosted the Andělárium sculpture symposia, which contribute to the creation of a unique collection of angel sculptures. In the third week of July, visitors can watch sculptors and woodcarvers transform tree trunks into angel sculptures. Andělská louka, also known as Andělárium, is a unique open-air gallery.
The traditional SvatoMichaelská pouť pilgrimage was also revived in Rejchartice; various cultural events are held there as well.
Landscape and Trails
Rejchartice stretches along the Kamenec stream. The surrounding mountains of the Hrubý Jeseník rise to 794 metres, and the local forests invite visitors to enjoy walks all year round.
The Andělské stezky are a 5.2-kilometre hiking route. Three information panels guide walkers along the Andělské stezky.
