Rohle lies in a basin landscape surrounded by wooded hills, whose axis is formed by the Rohelnice stream.

Nature and Landscape

The Rohle Reservoir is located in the cadastral area of Rohle and is considered an attractive tourist destination. It is occasionally used for recreation and fishing.

Skalka, a mountain, lies in the wider surroundings of Rohle. The immediate surroundings of Rohle also include Kočičí skála [Kamenná], U Cikánského buku [Rohle] and Humenec [Hrabová u Dubicka]; all three are hills. Nový Hrad, a ruin, is located in the wider regional surroundings of Rohle.

Cycling Routes

Two cycling routes with different connections pass through Rohle: Cycling Route 6114 connects Nedvězí with Šumperk, while Cycling Route 6232 runs from Rohelská bouda to Zábřeh.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Martin in Rohle is a Neoclassical church that is also classified as Empire style, and dates from 1802–1803. Nearby, a niche contains the sculpture of an angel, a work made of dark sandstone from the end of the 19th century. The local collection of monuments also includes Sousoší Kalvárie, a cultural monument dating from 1808, and Socha sv. Floriána, a cultural monument made of Maletín sandstone from the first third of the 19th century.

Further evidence of architectural and art history includes Kupecký dům, a listed vernacular building from the first half of the 19th century with a long veranda supported by sandstone columns, as well as Sloup Nejsvětější Trojice, an immovable cultural monument made of Maletín sandstone dating from 1835. The Socha sv. Jana Nepomuckého in Rohle dates from 1833. Rocha stands in the Rohle cemetery; its restoration was funded by a collection.

Rohle is mentioned in surviving sources from 1356 onward, while the first references date from around 1290. Hrad Brníčko is a castle in the immediate surroundings of Rohle. Dům č. p. 65 was added to the list of cultural monuments of the Czech Republic in 1999; its registration number is ÚSKPČR 49759/9-51.
