Bouzov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bouzov Castle has romantic interiors featuring rich paintings and woodcarvings by local folk artists, along with contemporary furnishings, and was declared a national cultural monument in 1999. On 1 and 2 August 2026, the Bouzovský mumraj will take place there, an event regarded as a traditional celebration.

Culture and History

The Muzeum Bouzov is located in the courtyard of the Bouzov municipal office. It preserves evidence of the history of the municipality and of the crafts practised by its inhabitants. Visitors can see machines and tools used in households, craft workshops and agriculture.

Sights in Bouzov include the Galerie v Podhradí Bouzov and a glass mini-workshop. The Trojan Horse there is a 15 m-high wooden structure.

The climb to the Hláska Tower is offered as a guided tour without explanations.

Activities and Trails

The Bouzov Orienteering Park has 17 permanent control points. Visitors can choose between a map with an easy course around Bakule Hill and a map for advanced participants with a free order of the control points. The park can also be used for geocaching, as the coordinates of the control locations are provided.

The Jesenec–Bouzov–Bílá Lhota hiking route passes through Bouzov; it is 22.5 km long, moderately difficult and has an elevation gain of 305 m. The Javoříčko–Javoříčské jeskyně–Bouzov hiking route is just under 10 km long.

The Bouzov–Javoříčko educational trail was newly created in 2014 and is intended for pedestrians and cyclists. The Bouzov–Olomouc cycle route is almost 42 km long and moderately difficult; it is suitable for trekking bikes and has an elevation gain of 271 m.

Landscape

The Panské rybníky ponds were restored in 2000 and have an area of 4.5 ha.
