Jeseník nad Odrou lies in the southwestern part of the Poodří Protected Landscape Area. The village combines a multifaceted history of sacred architecture and manor estates with protected river landscapes, springs, and various trails through the surrounding area.

Culture

The stone cross by the church dates from 1822, is of local origin, and attests to the continuation of the Baroque sculptural tradition in the 19th century. The village square features a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, considered one of the earliest depictions of its kind in northern Moravia and erected before his canonization.

The château and manor estate in Jeseník nad Odrou were built by Rudolf svobodný pán z Wittenu. Visitors can currently enjoy the historic atmosphere of the château and dine in the restaurant and in the château park’s outdoor area.

The Chapel of Saint Anne stands in the center of Jeseník nad Odrou next to House No. 8. It has an elongated shape, a slightly narrower and recessed semicircular apse, a volute gable, and a small roof turret with a lantern. The Parish Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands on the site of a wooden church that burned down in 1710; its nave was added in 1752 at the expense of František Rheinold z Andlernu.

Nature

Jesenická kyselka is a lightly mineralized, carbonated cold spring water. A public tap for Jesenická kyselka is accessible year-round. The spring can be reached by car without access restrictions; the site is within 250 m of the access area.

Meandry Staré Odry is a natural monument. It protects a remnant of the original, heavily meandering riverbed of the Oder with numerous periodic pools and riparian vegetation. Driving motor vehicles through the Meandry Staré Odry natural monument is prohibited.
