Heřmanice u Oder is one of the historically oldest settlement areas of the Oder region. The first written mention of the village dates from 1374.

Culture and history

In the village square in Véska, the Goethův kámen stands next to a memorial beech dedicated to Pope John Paul II in 2011. In Heřmanice u Oder, the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk is accompanied by a cross dating from 1882.
