Heřmanice U Oder: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Heřmanice u Oder is one of the historically oldest settlement areas of the Oder region. The first written mention of the village dates from 1374.

Culture and history

In the village square in Véska, the Goethův kámen stands next to a memorial beech dedicated to Pope John Paul II in 2011. In Heřmanice u Oder, the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk is accompanied by a cross dating from 1882. In Véska, there is a listed Neoclassical Chapel of Saint Hubert dating from the early 19th century; traditional hunting masses are held there in autumn. The cemetery in Véska also contains a monument to those who fell in the First World War, with a memorial plaque.

The traditional Gulášfest of SDH Véska combines a firefighting competition with the tasting of goulash, a children's programme, refreshments and evening entertainment.
