Albrechtičky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Albrechtičky lies in the central part of the Poodří Protected Landscape Area on the right bank of the Oder. The nature surrounding the village is shaped by the nearby Kotvice Nature Reserve: Around Albrechtičky there is a system of ponds with specially protected plant species, whose habitats serve as breeding and refuge areas for waterbirds and other aquatic and wetland animals.

Nature and Landscape

Albrechtičky is considered a good starting point for visiting the Kotvice Nature Reserve. In addition to its location in the Poodří Protected Landscape Area, this provides access to a specifically named natural area in the village’s surroundings.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Nicholas acquired its present form between 1890 and 1892 and contains the crypt of the Counts Vetter von Lilien. The Albrechtičky Municipal Museum is located in a log house built in 1865. There, visitors can learn about the history of the municipality, as well as its way of life and cultural traditions in past centuries.

The Albrechtičky Information Centre is located in the last surviving log house. Another local feature is the Marian Column: In 2013, it was moved from a private garden to a public square by the fire station.

Activities

The Albrechtičky leisure centre has a multi-purpose sports field for tennis, small-sided football, volleyball, foot tennis and streetball. Cycle Route No. 5, “Moravská brána”, also passes through the village. This route is also called the “Amber Trail”.

Events

Neckyáda takes place every year in mid-July at the Fojtovka Reservoir. It is a competition involving floating constructions on the water. At the end of May 2008, a hobby golf course and a children’s playground were opened in the garden of the cultural centre.
