Bílovec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bílovec showcases its history at notable sites and along themed trails. Bílovec Castle is a prominent landmark visible from far away on the southeastern edge of Bílovec’s inner urban area. The Bílovec Tourist Information Centre is located on the ground floor of a Baroque townhouse next to the castle; the rest of the building houses the Bílovec Museum.

Culture and History

St Nicholas Church is open to visitors; climbs up its church tower can be booked at the information centre in Bílovec from May to September. St Barbara’s Chapel is opened to tourists and those interested in its history during the summer season.

The “Skrytý středověk” exhibition is located in the Gothic cellar of Bílovec Castle. For its exhibitions, the Bílovec Museum offers a virtual guide in the form of a historical clerk, an audio guide and touchscreens. The “HISTORIE BÍLOVCE a továrny Massag” exhibition explores the historical and administrative development of Bílovec, displays guild artefacts and addresses the role of textile production.

Trails and Landscape

Cycle Route No. 6011 runs through Bílovec between Bartošovice and Polanka nad Odrou. The red-marked Route No. 32 from Bílovec to Fulnek is 13 km long and, as a cycle route, offers forest sections and panoramic views of the Oder Hills and the Beskids; as a hiking trail, it is also marked red, is 13 km long and includes forest sections as well as panoramic views of the Oder Hills and the Beskids.

The hike along the Údolím Jamníku and Hubleska educational trails is 6.5 km long and leads through gently hilly terrain. The educational trail through Hubleska Forest passes through a woodland landscape where the local fauna and flora are explained.
