Culture

The fortified aristocratic residence of Zámek Bravantice is first mentioned around 1570. It was probably converted into a single-storey Baroque château in the second half of the 17th century. Since 2023, artistic plein-air events have been held at Zámek Bravantice.

The Church of St Valentine stands in the centre of Bravantice. It was added to the list of cultural monuments before 1988 and is one of the oldest churches in the area. Inside are two historic bells cast in 1632 and 1691.

For more than 200 years, the Valentinská pouť has been celebrated annually in Bravantice on 14 February.

Getting Around

Several bus routes connect Bravantice with Nový Jičín, Ostrava, Studénka, Bílovec and Jistebník. They are integrated into the Integrated Transport System of the Moravian-Silesian Region, ODIS.

The nearest railway station is in Studénka, on international railway corridor No. 270. There are further railway stations in Bílovec on a regional line and in Jistebník.

Landscape

The pond system near Bravantice is used for fish farming and angling. The Kravařsko long-distance cycle route runs along the western shore of the ponds near Bravantice.
