Bruzovice – Cultural Monuments, Nature and Views

Bruzovice combines local history, protected cultural monuments and special natural sites with preserved river valleys and views. The first written mention of Bruzovice dates from 1305. Historical evidence and landscape features exist side by side as different facets of the same local character.

Culture and History

Southwest of the town centre, Tvrz Bruzovice is considered a presumed small medieval settlement; a manorial farm called Horní dvůr was also located there. The site is regarded as the probable cradle of the Bruzovických z Bruzovic family.

The Church of Saint Stanislaus in Bruzovice is protected as an immovable cultural monument. Bruzovice also contains a rural farm complex that is protected as an immovable cultural monument.

On the outskirts of Bruzovice near Lučina, the Na Zálesí Chapel dates from 1875. The Muzeum Bruzovice has a permanent exhibition in the municipal office building.
