Sviadnov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At 350 metres above sea level, Štandl is the highest point in Sviadnov and is designated as a registered significant landscape feature. Significant terrain traces of medieval fortifications have been preserved on Štandl; archaeological rescue excavations were carried out there between 1988 and 1992.

Nature

The Pod Štandlem wetland in Sviadnov was revitalised in 2024–2025. It includes a wooden footbridge, and numerous fruit trees were planted in its surroundings. The Ostravice River in Sviadnov is designated as a Natura 2000 site of Community importance.

The Kyčera mountain is located in the vicinity of Sviadnov. The mountains Skalka, Ostrá and Malchor are located in the wider regional surroundings.

History and Culture

The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Sviadnov has an organ built in 1891 by the organ builder Jan Tuček from Kutná Hora. The mine complex with its headframe in Sviadnov is designated as an immovable cultural monument. The Kończyce Małe Castle – Zamek XV w. is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Sviadnov.

Activities

Jezdecký klub Sviadnov offers children riding lessons, hippotherapy and show jumping. Throughout the year, the riding club organises several equestrian, hobby and children's events.

Hiking Trails and Cycle Route

In Sviadnov, tourist route No. 7926 and the Štandl educational trail are maintained. Cycle route Ostrava–Beskydy No. 59 runs predominantly on paved surfaces.
