Nature
The village lies in the Hlučín Hills, in a gently rolling landscape on the northern foothills of the last spurs of the Nízký Jeseník mountain range. From elevated locations around Štěpánkovice, there are views of the Beskids and Jeseníky Mountains; the suitable terrain around the village enables active cycling tourism.
Culture and History
The Church of St Catherine in Štěpánkovice was built in 1756 on the site of an earlier wooden structure. The single-nave Baroque building has a three-sided enclosed presbytery. Saint Catherine of Alexandria is the patron saint of the church and parish in Štěpánkovice.
Albertovec is part of the municipality of Štěpánkovice; in 1952, Albertovec began serving as a stud farm. Štěpánkovice is known for its successful ethnographic ensembles and formerly also had amateur theatre.
Sports and Events
The public sports complex on the school grounds in Štěpánkovice includes tennis, nohejbal and volleyball courts, a football pitch, beach volleyball facilities, a practice tennis wall, facilities for fire brigade sports, a running track and sports equipment rental.
Štěpánkovice Municipality Day is a traditional event for all age groups, featuring an extensive cultural and sports programme. The Štěpánkovice Gardeners’ Association organises popular fruit, vegetable and flower exhibitions, accompanied by a thanksgiving harvest mass. At the Štěpánkovice Cross-Country Race 2026, tourists were invited to join a walk starting at 9 a.m.

Štěpánkovice has very good train and bus connections to Opava. The Na Statku restaurant offers food in Štěpánkovice.
