Kvítkov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Kvítkov castle ruins are located on a sloping ridge at the foot of Kozel Hill and on six sandstone blocks that still exist today. They are an immovable cultural monument and have been protected since 3 May 1958.

Nature and trails

The Peklo NPP forms part of Kvítkov’s natural boundary along the Robečský potok stream. It protects a geologically valuable gorge valley set in sandstone, with damp alder and ash forests that provide a habitat for rare and endangered species.

Marked hiking trails maintained by the KČT pass through Kvítkov. The Peklo NPP educational trail also runs through the village; cycling route 3086 passes through Kvítkov as well.

Culture and village character

The Chapel of the Holy Cross stands in the north-eastern part of Kvítkov on the road to Vojkovice. The statue of Saint Barbara in Kvítkov is a state-protected cultural monument.

The Church of Saint James the Greater stands in the village centre and is surrounded by a cemetery. Its construction began in 1725 and was essentially completed in 1726. Regular services are held in the parish Church of Saint James the Greater in Kvítkov.
