Skalice U České Lípy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Skalice u České Lípy reveals its special side at Skalický vrch: Over the course of the last two centuries, sandstone quarrying created an underground labyrinth there with numerous halls. The Skalický vrch area is also registered as a European protected area for the presence and overwintering of bats.

Culture and Local History

Historical traces can be found in Skalice u České Lípy both in the local history and in sacred and stone monuments. The Vilém Sacher Monument commemorates General Vilém Sacher’s forced stay in Skalice u České Lípy. Inside the Church of St. Anne is a Stations of the Cross cycle by the local painter Josef Müller.

The Boží muka s reliéfy are stone Baroque wayside shrines dating from 1835. They were added to the list of monuments in 1965.

Cycling

Several cycling routes pass through the area and connect different directions. Cycling route 3054 runs through the built-up area of Skalice u České Lípy, from Okrouhlá in the north to Manušice in the south. Cycling route 3062 crosses Skalice u České Lípy from east to west and leads from Pihel via road III/26210 into the centre.

At the southwestern end of the area near Slunečná, cycling route 211 touches the area. There is a connection to Skalice u České Lípy via route 3062 or via a local road from Farma Slunečná to Svobodná Ves.

Rail Connections

The long-distance railway line 080 runs along the western edge of the built-up area of Skalice u České Lípy. Skalice u České Lípy railway station is located approximately 1 km from the town centre.
