The Church of St. George in Chlum is registered as an immovable cultural monument under registration number 20434/5-2987. Its present form dates from 1739; Count Jan Kounic had it built that year. As early as 1293, the church was separated from the parish of Bezděz and given its own parish priest. In 1863, it received a new tower with a bell chamber made of sandstone blocks, which replaced an older, dilapidated wooden tower.
