Horní Police: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Horní Police is defined by the Horní Police pilgrimage complex, which is one of the important Baroque monuments of northern Bohemia.
Culture and History
The Horní Police pilgrimage complex hosts concerts, exhibitions, and events for children and adults. Individual guided tours of the complex can be arranged in advance; they include the Baroque church and current exhibitions in the church oratory.
The Baroque Horní Police Chateau stands on the bank of the Ploučnice opposite the pilgrimage church. Large former brewery cellars have been well preserved in the chateau to this day. The stone arch bridge in Horní Police dates from 1840 and is a protected cultural and technical monument. It has benches and lanterns and offers views of Horní Police.
On the Way
The 24-kilometre, moderately difficult third stage of the Výroční stezka leads from Žandov to Horní Police along a blue-marked hiking trail.
Surroundings
The mountains of Kozel, Ronov, Dobrná, and Netterskoppe are located in the vicinity of Horní Police.
In the wider regional surroundings of Horní Police are the Starý Berštejn ruins, Hrad Střekov Castle, the historic site of Hirniskretzschen, and the Postelwitzer Höhe viewpoint.
