Pertoltice Pod Ralskem: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Within the municipality of Pertoltice pod Ralskem, the Natura 2000 site EVL Horní Ploučnice encompasses the course of the Ploučnice and Panenský potok watercourse, as well as the surrounding area.
Nature
The Strážný vrch area includes this specially protected Natura 2000 site, where animal and plant species as well as natural habitat types are protected. Below Strážný vrch, Jeskyně Pekárnička, a small niche cave in a red sandstone rock, is situated in a meadow. The niche cave continues to be used for picnics.
A protected broad-leaved lime tree stands on the road from Mimoň to Brniště. Its trunk circumference is 620 cm, it is 16 m tall, and it has a 10 m-wide crown.
Culture and History
The Chapel of Saint Procopius was renovated after 1990; the roof, exterior plaster, and interior furnishings were renewed. The chapel is open to the public and offers a peaceful place for contemplation.
The column with the statue of the Immaculata was erected in 1720 at the expense of the farmer Michael Ullrich. It was restored in 2009, when the statue of the Virgin Mary was placed back on the column. The column with the statue of the Immaculata is freely accessible.
Trails and Orientation
A marked yellow hiking trail runs through the municipality from Vranov via Srní Potok to the railway station. An already established hiking trail connects Vranov, Pertoltice pod Ralskem, and Zákupy.
The tourist centre is open to visitors every year from 1 May to 30 September.
