Výrava was first mentioned in writing in 1406 – a specific starting point for a place whose cultural and natural features are reflected in chapels, events, and biocenters.

Culture and Remembrance

The Chapel of the Birth of Saint John the Baptist in Výrava was built in 1906–1907 on the site of an older chapel. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary stands in the upper part of Výrava, in the direction of Jílovice, above a spring, and was built in 1868.

At Výrava 104, next to the municipal office in the center of the village, stands a memorial to the victims of the First and Second World Wars. It was ceremonially unveiled on October 28, 1948.

Events

Since 1998, Letní Parket Výrava has hosted concerts featuring Czech and international performers. For all events, it offers free bus transportation to and from the venue.

Nature and Landscape

The surrounding area of Výrava includes Vidrholec Hill [Černilov], Křivý kopec Hill [Černilov], (Velký kopec) Hill [Jeníkovice u Hradce Králové], and Lhotecký kopec Hill [Králova Lhota u Českého Meziříčí].

The V ráji Biocenter was established in 1997 on the Malostranský potok (Číbr) in the cadastral area of the municipality of Výrava. It serves as an oasis for wildlife and is a place for walks.

The U Vrbiček Biocenter, also called Ve Vrbičkách, was created in 1996 according to a plan by Ing. Pavel Trávníček on the Libníkovický potok. The pond located within it is sometimes called Vrbičky and covers 1.9588 hectares.
