Újezd Pod Troskami can be explored through specific places and traditions: the Church of Saint John the Baptist, the Újezd pod Troskami War Museum, several memorials, small religious monuments and the Na víně Nature Monument.

Church and Museum

The Church of Saint John the Baptist was consecrated in 1871 and has been considered fully completed since 1874. It is a neo-Romanesque three-nave building made of unrendered, regularly hewn sandstone blocks and stands on the edge of the settlement on the road by the cemetery.

The Újezd pod Troskami War Museum presents exhibitions on the Austro-Prussian War, the First World War, the First Czechoslovak Republic and the Second World War. It is located directly on the village square next to the former inn or shop U Kolářů. The collection also includes documentation of seven aircraft crashes from the Second World War, explained using archival material, fragments from the crash sites and contemporary photographs.

Memorial Sites and Religious Monuments

Újezd pod Troskami is home to a memorial to the victims of the First World War, which was restored in 2017 and bears the names of local residents who fell in the war. There is also a memorial to the Unknown Soldier by the municipal office. The cross in Újezd pod Troskami is designated as a pilgrimage site.

Another historical trace leads to Čímyšl: the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk was rediscovered in Austria near Linz in 2012, returned in a damaged condition, restored and reinstalled in Čímyšl. In Semínova Lhota, the memorial to the victims of the First World War dates from 1920 and bears a list of the names of fallen residents. There is also a crucifix by the fire station, which has been protected as a cultural monument since 31 August 2011.

Nature

The Na víně Nature Monument protects a south- and east-facing steppe slope on marl subsoil, where rare and protected plant and insect species occur.

Annual Events and Local Traditions

The Májová pouť takes place annually on the first weekend in May and begins with a mass in the Church of Saint John the Baptist. At the Christmas market in the first week of Advent, bread spread with lard and a warmed beverage are traditionally served.
