Slatina Nad Úpou: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In Slatina nad Úpou, the “Justynčina Trail” is a 7-kilometre circular hiking trail that follows marked paths. Along it are three information boards describing twelve interesting stops relating to nature, culture and local sights.

The “Justynčina Trail” is associated with a story about Justynka, a Jewish girl from Hronov who was sent to Boušín in 1823 to be prepared for admission to the Catholic Church and was later baptised there. The medieval educational trail “In the Footsteps of the Golden Stirrup Coat of Arms” runs partly through the area of Slatina nad Úpou and has five stops.
Culture and History
In Boušín, a district of Slatina nad Úpou in the Náchod District, the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was built in 1682–1692 at the expense of Prince Lorenzo Piccolomini, replacing an older wooden church. It is a single-nave, oriented Baroque building without a tower. A small path leads downhill from this church to the Chapel of the Virgin Mary with the Boušín Spring. Boušínská samota is the oldest settlement in the municipality of Slatina nad Úpou and consists of a church, a rectory, a cemetery, several holiday homes and a chapel with a spring.
Boušín is a pilgrimage settlement associated with the story of the miraculous healing of a deaf-mute girl; Božena Němcová recorded this story in her work The Grandmother. The “Slatinská Bell Tower” is a wooden log structure with a square floor plan, standing at an elevated position in the centre of the village near the municipal office. It has been preserved in its original form and has been documented since 1682; it was built by Prince Piccolomini.
The “Mariánský Column” in Slatina nad Úpou is registered as a cultural monument under registration number 1875. “Bathildis Strasse” is marked at three locations by large sandstone blocks: at the beginning and end are the carved inscriptions “BATHILDIS STRASSE ….. SILNICE BATHILDY” with an arrow, while in the middle there is “BATHILDIS PLATZ ….. STÁNEK BATHILDY”.

KČT cycling route No. 4018, the “Božena Němcová Circuit”, is a 38-kilometre circular route and is considered a moderately difficult circuit with numerous stopping points.
