Sekeřice lies on the northeastern edge of the Žlunské polesí Protected Landscape Area. The nearby Žlunické polesí is a 231-hectare natural monument.

The Kamenec terrain point, which is classified as a mountain, is located in the vicinity of Sekeřice. The U Borku terrain point [Záhornice u Městce Králové], also classified as a mountain, is likewise located nearby. The Za Zahradami terrain point [Vinary u Smidar], classified as a hill, is also situated in the immediate vicinity. In the wider regional surroundings of Sekeřice lies the Maxinec terrain point (MLázovický chlum), which is classified as a mountain.

Trails and Events

In 2018, a forest walk from Sekeřice included eleven stations. A forest walk held in 2018 focusing on the Žlunické polesí began at the cattle shed in Sekeřice.

The traditional event “Pálení čarodějnic + Májová diskotéka” takes place in Sekeřice on April 30 in the “U lesa” area; for 2026, it was scheduled for April 30. The traditional “Posvícenská zábava” took place in Sekeřice in the “U lesa” area on the last Saturday in August.
