Rohoznice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rohoznice extends along both banks of the Bystřice River. Between the river landscape, traces of history and paths through the surrounding area, the town reveals many distinct facets.

Landscape

The Bystřice floodplain in Rohoznice I lies within the built-up area of the town. It includes a meandering river course with riverside trees, meadows and scattered greenery. The Bystřice floodplain in Rohoznice II lies on the southern outskirts of the town and has a larger proportion of mature greenery.

The picturesque Podzvičinsko landscape around Rohoznice invites visitors to go for walks in summer and winter.

Culture and History

The first written mention of Rohoznice dates back to 1267. In the centre of the town stands the “Kalvarie” sculpture group, a cultural monument.

From Malá Strana in Rohoznice, the summit of Zvičina can be seen on the horizon. The Rohoznice weir is also visible from Malá Strana. During a walk in the area around Rohoznice, visitors can see several statues, including a statue of Saint John the Baptist.

Hiking and Cycling

The “Rohoznický Darmošlap” hiking event takes place annually in Rohoznice. It is organised by the Rohoznice local branch of the Czech Tourist Club; the start and finish are at the KČT clubhouse in Rohoznice.

An approximately 8-kilometre hiking route of the Rohoznický Darmošlap runs along the K. J. Erben educational trail. Cycle Route 4086 runs radially through the Rohoznice planning area towards Miletín.
