Sobčice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The late Baroque Church of St. Procopius in Sobčice was built between 1761 and 1777 by the Carthusians from Valdice.

Culture and Local History

The Church of St. Procopius complex is located on the outskirts of Sobčice, northeast of the village along a local road and near the former chateau.

The village green is home to a Baroque ensemble depicting the Archangel Raphael with the young Tobias. This ensemble is considered an example of so-called radical Baroque in sculpture from the mid-18th century.

The fields around Sobčice are home to a wayside shrine complex known as “Boží muka” today.

According to local legend, Maťátko had a wayside shrine built in 1979 as penance for his wife.
