Kopidlno: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

On the southeast side of Kopidlno’s market square stands Kopidlno Castle, at the beginning of the castle park and on the shore of the castle pond. The castle park is directly accessible from the market square in Kopidlno. Since 1948, the castle has been used as the seat of the local higher horticultural and vocational schools; the interior rooms have accordingly been adapted for school operations.

Culture

In the vicinity of the Church of St James the Greater, there is a unique gallery of Baroque sculptures. The regular public event “Čtení z kronik” also enables the public to gain insight into the history of the town and the local communities through authentic entries in the local chronicles.

Events

“Kopidlenský kvítek” is an international competition for students of secondary horticultural schools. The event culminates in a large horticultural sales exhibition with an accompanying program. During the annual event, as well as at other activities organized by the horticultural school, the greenhouse is open to visitors.

The public seminar program included the Advent floristry seminar “Adventní čas”, which took place at the school on November 29, 2025. It also includes the spring floristry seminar “Vítání jara”, during which decorations related to spring bulbs are created.

Mount U Borku [Záhornice u Městce Králové] is located in the vicinity of Kopidlno. Mount Kamenec is also located nearby. In the wider regional surroundings of Kopidlno are the mountains Přivýšina and Střelečská hůra.
