Mokrovousy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Mokrovousy lies on the left bank of the Bystřice stream. In the village stands a sandstone monument to Saint Anthony of Padua dating from 1745.

Nature

Mokrovousy lies along the 1866 battlefield route between Chlum and Hrádek Castle. The European Site of Community Importance EVL CZ0523264 Bystřice was designated in 2004 to protect the thick-shelled river mussel found in the Bystřice.

Culture and History

The statue of Saint Anthony of Padua was moved to Mokrovousy after the castle in Sadová burned down in 1777. It has been protected as a monument since 24 June 2002. Archaeological finds at the “Pod kostelem” site provide evidence of a prehistoric settlement. A monument erected in 1928 commemorates eleven citizens of Mokrovousy who fell at the front.

In the Village

The Harrachovská Well is a technical monument in Mokrovousy. A children's playground was built next to the “Na koupališti” kiosk in 2011. The “Na koupališti” kiosk offers seating for visitors during the summer months; such seating had already been available there since August 2011.
