Mokré: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Mokré is home to Svatý kříž, the most significant local monument. It was erected in 1861 in the centre of Mokré, thereby combining a distinctive name with a clearly dated local reference.

Culture

The local cultural history also includes the Knihovna U Mokřinky library, which was founded in 1889. It supports and organises cultural and social life in Mokré.

Nature

The Na Mělích grove, also known as Chmelnice or Na Chmelích, lies between Městec and Mokré. It is a preserved thermophilous oak-hornbeam forest with undergrowth consisting of rare plants. Another prominent linden tree is Lípa bludičky Mokřinky, which stands at an important crossroads in an area with extensive wetlands.

The Lipová alej Mistra Jana Husa linden avenue was planted in 1915 to commemorate the death of Mistr Jan Hus. It is located in the Mokré cadastral area at the municipal cemetery and consists of small-leaved limes (Tilia cordata).

The Strýc mountain is located in the wider regional surroundings of Mokré. The named hill Měle (Mokré) is also situated nearby. The surroundings of Mokré also include the named hill Na Kuchyňském (Přepychy u Opočna) and the named hill Humbule (Očelice-Městec nad Dědinou).
