Hřibiny-Ledská: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Hradiště lies between Velká Ledská and Lično and is a green spur of land with the remains of a hillfort from the Lusatian culture period. The site is dated to between 1200 and 900 BC. Its plateau was approximately 250 by 150 metres in size and was separated from the rest of the ridge by a double rampart running from north to south.

Culture and history

Traces of various eras can also be found in the immediate surroundings of Hřibiny-Ledská. A Bronze Age bronze hoard was discovered in the Čápy area within the cadastral territory of Velká Ledská. In front of house no. 19 in Hřibiny, local residents had a stone cross erected after 1848 to commemorate the abolition of forced labour. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk lies between Hřibiny and Velká Ledská.

The Mlýn-Podlíska ensemble at house no. 56 is registered as an immovable cultural monument under number 2240 and comprises the mill, a barn and a residential building that is privately owned. Vodní mlýn Ledská, also known as Mlýn Podlíska, is a Baroque water mill on the Bělá with a half-timbered upper floor and a shingle roof. It is surrounded by a large courtyard lined with a series of half-timbered and stone farm buildings. Mlýn Podlíska is probably considered the most important cultural monument in Hřibiny-Ledská.

The cultural monuments of Hřibiny-Ledská also include Kaplička nad Malou Ledskou. The traditional Masopust carnival also has its established place in the annual calendar: it takes place every year in Hřibiny-Ledská.

Landscape

The immediate surroundings of Hřibiny-Ledská are characterised by several named elevations. Strýc Mountain, Horní Bukovina Hill and Šíchovec Hill are located nearby. Velká Suchá Mountain lies in the wider regional surroundings of Hřibiny-Ledská.

Traditions and trails

One documented hiking route leads past ponds to beyond Švandrlík Pond. Another documented hiking route leads across a clearing to Hradiště, continues along a forest path to the road towards Lično, passes through the forest by the transmitter and leads to the turn-off for Podlíska.
