Deschney combines winter sports, trails through the landscape and cultural sites with activities for children. In Deštné v Orlických horách, different types of experiences come together.

Winter Sports

The Deštné ski resort offers ski rental and ski services, a ski school, a groomed snow park and night skiing on red and blue runs. Deštné v Orlických horách also has ski touring routes near the ski resort; some sections also run along cross-country ski trails. The Deštné ski bus runs from the town centre by the church to the Marta ski resort and back.

Culture

The Museum of Winter Sports, Tourism and Crafts features exhibitions on woodcarving, linen production, glassmaking and milling. St. Magdalene Church is a single-nave Baroque church built between 1720 and 1726 to a design by J. B. Santini. In Dříš, a district of Deštné v Orlických horách, the Chapel of the Virgin Mary was built and consecrated in 1809.

Trails

The “Okolím Deštného” educational trail begins in Deštné-Zákoutí and leads back to Deštné, ending at Národní dům. The educational trail introduces visitors to the natural beauty and history of the region. For cyclists, there is the moderately difficult “Na hřebeny Orlických hor” cycling route, which is suitable for road bikes, mountain bikes and trekking bikes.

Experiences

Koně Kotyza operates a riding facility open to the public all year round, offering riding lessons for beginners and advanced riders as well as pony rides for children. The “Kačenčina pohádková stezka” fairy-tale trail in the area around Deštné v Orlických horách features 18 stations with interactive elements and tasks for the whole family.

The Deštné high ropes course offers a children's course and a large course with 14 and 25 obstacles respectively, as well as a climbing wall.
